cstm issue

Hello,

I am getting the follwoing error;

cstm>il
^--(InfoLog) is currently disabled. --

I have looked into previous threads and suggestions such as stop and start the deamons do not work.

I have read something about using lic but not sure of the usage or password required.

please help.

Try this

cstm>map
cstm>select device or
cstm>select all
cstm>map
cstm>info
This will output as
-- Updating Map --
Updating Map...
cstm>infolog
-- Converting a (784) byte raw log file to text. --

sorry I should have explained that I have already mapped and typed sel all but when i type anything for

InfoLog (il)

i get the error - I have read this could be licencing but not sure how to resolve

try installing the patch PHSS_32492.

it is having some symptoms.

What version of HPUX and of the OnlineDiags do you have? (Give the version numbers you see when you start cstm.) The patch recommended by Govinda is for the Dec 2004 version on 11.11. I don't think it specifically addresses the problem you are seeing.

You shouldn't need to install a license to get the info tool to run.

I don't see where you say that you ran the info tool. If it hasn't been run yet you'll get the error you show. So, what is the output of the 'map' command in cstm? What happens if you do:

cstm> sel all
cstm> info
cstm> wait
cstm> il

hi,
looks like you just missed one bit out

once you selected the device you need info on you need to do
#info

first then
#infolog

it will then display the log to screen
