topic error on console in Operating System - HP-UX

error on console

Hello,

can someone tell me how to stop the below error?

I have # the entry in etc/inittab but am still recieving it.

did you "init q" after making the /etc/inittab change?

no but have rebooted since - is the command still required?

Nope, you won't need to run the "init q" now that the box was bounced.

ok, so we're pretty sure that it's not the inittab then. It could be a problem w/ a startup script or maybe a script copied to /etc/rc.config.d/ instead of /sbin/init.d

If it's an init script "sh -x /etc/rc.config" may help find it.

silly mistake!

The entry was in the inittab twice for some reason so just removed it and now ok!
