      <description>I haven't seen this one, but according to this:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://web.tampabay.rr.com/batcave/ignite.htm" target="_blank"&gt;http://web.tampabay.rr.com/batcave/ignite.htm&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;it sounds like the answer is yes, you should change your *session* umask (see the note in the first third or so of the document).  He suggests 022.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;As far as I know, the answer to (2) is /etc/profile and the like.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HTH,&lt;BR /&gt;Mic</description>
