I need to find a link for a script (or paste the script) to rotate, and archive trusted mode logs. I had one, but cannot find it anymore.

HP 10.20 trusted mode, the root slice fills up. I would like to roll the logs, and want to just copy/mod an existing script.

Thanks

Unless you have your VG00 as one big filesystem, your / partition should never fill up. There are no logs kept in any subdir of / that is not usually a separate mount point. Most of your logs should be in /var somewhere.

What exactly is filling up your / filesystem?

We have our logs in /.secure/etc/xxx.

We are out of space throughout, and would like to simply roll the logs out to
.1 .2 .3 - or equivalent, and delete as time went on -

That way we would always have 3 copies online, and then recovery from tape of old transactions could take place as needed.

Thanks
