Couple of quick questions!

How does HP handle time syncing?

Also, is there a standard, or suggested, server that should be used for this?

hey,

Search for Network Time Protocol (ntp) in HP documentation. Also see xntpd (the ntp daemon) man pages

HTH,

Shiju

Tim,
As far as a suggested clock, there are many out there, you may want to find one close to you so you get the best possible update. I'm Colorado and we use the close one from Boulder. But there are some all over the country.

I usually go hear for some info about them.

http://tycho.usno.navy.mil/what.html

C

xntpd or the NTP protocal is your friend. if you need help determining what NTP Internet servers to point to or how NTP works, here is a good link with lots of links:

http://www.eecis.udel.edu/~ntp/

Here's a few HP links on more information:
http://us-support.external.hp.com/cki/bin/doc.pl/sid=5c69122d0bc5006798/screen=ckiDisplayDocument?docId=200000053307950

http://forums.itrc.hp.com/cm/QuestionAnswer/1,11866,0xfaf4c6af36b7d5118ff10090279cd0f9,00.html
