topic Error adding 3700 printer with hppi in Operating System - HP-UX

I'm trying to add an HP 3700 color laserjet printer using hppi, and I get the following error:
ERROR: Printer configuration error
Could not find the printer configuration file
Please verify software installation

I've run hppi from sam, not through sam, deinstalled the driver, loaded the new one from the website, verified the installation (the hppi option), and can't seem to make it work. This is on a K420 running 11.11 HP-UX, and seems to only be happening on 3700 printers. I can successfully add every other one I've tried, 4100, 4200, 4300, 5500.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
No, actually it returned several errors. They were for file sizes, modify dates, and permissions. I then went to another server, and tried it. It gave me the same errors. I then deinstalled hppi, and reinstalled it, did the swverify again, and no errors. Then I downloaded the 3700 config files (using hppi), and then swverify gave me the same errors.

However, this time, I made my terminal window bigger just in case, and I saw the error was caused by hppi looking for a 352.cfg file, not 347.cfg. I then (I'm shortening it a little big here) edited /opt/hpnpl/admin/PrinterList, found there were two lines for 3700s, removed the bad one (that had the reference to 352.cfg), and successfully configured a 3700 using hppi. I opted to not download the latest drivers again, as I'm sure that would add another erronious line to /opt/hpnpl/admin/PrinterList. I suspect this is some kind of bug in the installer that gets downloaded when you let it download the latest drivers, but I'm not sure. Thank you for the help.

When I downloaded the latest drivers, there was an erronious line added to /opt/hpnpl/admin/PrinterList for Color LaserJet 3700 referencing 352.cfg instead of 347.cfg. The correct line referencing 347.cfg was also there. I removed the bad line, then hppi allowed me to configure 3700 printers.
