    <description>I want to freeze vcs on one of my cluster node and then take it off line to perform oracle clod backup as requested by our DBA, when ever I freeze one node and take it off line vcs automaticaaly start on the second node (freezing seems not working),appreciate if some one help.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;My veritas cluster is 3.5, using veritas volume manager, hp-ux 11i.</description>

      <description>You should use cmhaltpkg &lt;PKG_NAME&gt; rather trying to stop the application by other methods to prevent it from switiching to other node. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Sudeesh&lt;/PKG_NAME&gt;</description>
