Are you exporting these windows to a PC? If so look at Exceed or Reflection, they are used a lot through out the industry.

GL,
C

I am looking for infomation on SharedX. I would like to be able to export the entire desktop of a workstation. I am currently using the set DISPLAY.....but the remote work that I am doing requires several windows and it is a pain to keep track of. Is SharedX still available or is there another solution I can use. It would have to be able to interface 10.2 and 11i.

-Scott

hi,

As craig suggestion, if you are working on a PC,
ReflectionX or Exceed is the software needed to give a GUI CDE environment.

HTH
raj

1. SharedX is still available even for hpux 11.i but will only work on hpux local/remote server/clients, as PC Xservers do not have the required Xserver extension to run it.

2. It will be bundled as part of the mpower web product on the application CD's.

3. For hpux -> PC : ReflectionsX, Exceed etc etc will all probably be OK.

4. For hpux -> other unix systems consider using Xnest (a nested Xserver) freeware or VNC http://www.tridiavnc.com/ ?

I can supply further details on all the above if required.

Opps....Sorry maybe I should have provided more details. I am trying to xport displays from on HPUX machine to another. One is running 10.2 and the other is running 11i. Not sure if that changes things.

-Scott
