I need information (docs, install guide) on Mirror-ux for 11.0. I have seen mirrordisk/ux for 11.i. Is this just a name change from mirror-ux? Points to be awarded!

Mirror/UX functions exactly the same way with the same features on both OS.

You have to obtain and install a codeword from HP. That is a fun thing to do.

After putting in the codeword via the swinstall GUI, you do this.

swinstall -x autoreboot=true -s

Mirror UX is a product beginning with a B, it can also be installed via the swinstall -i gui.

Same thing...

For docs just go to http:/docs.hp.com and you'll find a plethora of info..

mirroring is controlled at the lvol and done by simply extending the lvol to your second disk:
lvextend -m 1 /dev/vgname/lvol /dev/dsk/

Now if you want to make changes on 'the fly' you need OnlineJFS.

Hi ,

I verified on my 11.0 and 11.11i boxes , there is no seperate mirror unix product installed . On 11.i mission critical OS which we are using it is a part of base OS .

11.0 iformation are not available now since it is discontinued.

You may chek the man page of lvextend and if you see the -m 1 mirror option , I believe you are good to go .

there is no difference in product name.
