K580 back plain Integration

Kindly assist me with the site where I can download the patch for the K450 to K580 upgrade for the server back plain. I need the firmware patch for the K580 back plain.

I'm not sure what exactly you need: the patches or the PDC

Patches are not that big deal. You need at least the Extension pack 9804 or newer
If you install 10.20 and more than one CPU you need PHKL_12514

You find the PDC under: Maintenance&Support -> Individual Patches -> Firmware Patches -> CPU patches -> PF_CMHK3912

sorry, you need 39.11 NOT 39.12

The system has the patch and the PDC is 39.11.
But the problem is that, I want to install afresh HP-UX 10.20 on a new 9gb disk without restoring from a copy util tape. On scanning the new disk, my system times out and hangs.

Chris,

this sounds more like a SCSI-Bus problem than a patch or firmware issue
Do you get any chassis code in the LCD display befor the install routine times out?

It is okey now, I was using HP-UX core cd of 1996, I just got the newer version of 1999 from my consultant and the installation is going through now.
