Hi Gurus,

I want to setup Memory Window in one V class server. Currently that server has 4 GB RAM and & 6 CPU. OS version is HP-UX 11. But unfortunately we could not use more than 1.75 GB of our memory. For that reason our MQ connectivity is facing problem.

I heard Memory Window can solve this problem. Would you please advise me how I can configure it. I am totaly newbie in this subject.

Hello Sandip,

on your V-class there should be a white-paper about memory windows (or "Application Domains") like "/usr/share/doc/mem_windows*".
But each memory window can only be up to 1GB,
so it might not solve your problem - going to 64bit for your application would solve the problem, I guess.

HTH,
Wodisch

I take it your application is limiting you and is 32 bit.

As stated in one of the documents someone posted earlier you can get a window of 2.75 GB but you have to install a patch to use exec_magic and shmem_magic.

If your app is 64bit you should have the limitation.
