      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;We have been facing an error in a backup. The error reads as below&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Sep 21 07:19:48 2005: Open Server Error: 16240.10.0: Net-Library routine net_lis&lt;BR /&gt;ten() failed in srv__start_net&lt;BR /&gt;Network error: status = 23 - Net-Lib protocol driver call to register a listener failed&lt;BR /&gt;.&lt;BR /&gt;Sep 21 07:19:48 2005: Open Server Server Fatal Error: 16029.20.0: Failed to start any network listeners&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Can anybody tel us what this mean and where to look into exactly?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regds&lt;BR /&gt;Suni</description>

      <description>If this is Veritas(Symantec) netbackup, see if the services are running on both machines and see that network connectivity has not failed.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It would be helpful if you specified the product set and operating systems in this query.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <description>Sunil, &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It seems like a server service is not running. You need to start the service in order to proceed further.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-Arun &lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi Steven,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The OS is HP-UX 11.0 and database is Sybase. When I searched this syntax, i came to know that it means "Network port already in use.". So I just want to know how to go ahead.</description>
