Hello All,

I am following intructions for mirroring the boot disk and I can not locate the Offline Diagnostics on the September 2005 HPUX 11i v1 Support Plus DVD. I was wondering if anyone installed fresh from DVD and ran into this same problem. Is it o.k. to get from another server? Or perhaps this is a step that is no longer needed?

Gerald

Hi,

Nowadays Mirror/UX is part of OS and gets installed by default.

run swlist |grep -i mirror

you may find it already installed.

cheers ..007

Thanks the offline diagnostics are no longer included on that DVD I went ahead and downloaded. All is fine after the install.

Thanks.

Gerald

Hi Gerald,
Yes, it is a deliberate change that the Offline Diags (LIF-LOAD fileset) are no longer included on the Support Plus DVD.

The link Robert-Jan gives is the correct one for downloading the ODE.

I notice that the link given on that page for the explanation for the change doesn't seem to work (http://docs.hp.com/en/diag/ode_faq.htm). I'll notify the relevant person to get it fixed.

Andrew
