Hi,

Is it recomend to use hpux sendmail as mail server,
Is there is any other third part application work on HPUX as mail server

sendmail is coming as default package. You can use that.

Hello,

Sendmail is the default mail server on HP-UX and it is supported by HP.
But, there are other mail servers available for HP-UX such as,
Qmail, Postfix. You can download and install them.

Shalom nabil,

There is a third party tool called qpopper which permits your HP-UX sendmail server to be a pop server. This permits it to work with the outlook client.

With cyrys-map, which is part of the Internet Express package, you can have imap clients work with a central HP-UX sendmail server.

Its possible to set up a httpd based webmail server as well.
