Config kernel for OLAR

I should clarify - I need to manually add the following drivers to the kernel on my 11i system.:
OLAR_PSM
OLAR_PSM_IF
DEV_OLAR

HP support said I cannot use SAM to do this. I've looked over some docs on adding drivers but its not very clear. From what I understand I do the following
1) /usr/lbin/sysadm/system_prep -s system
2) edit system to add driver
3) mk_kernel -s system
4) mv vmunix_test ../

In step 2 do I only need to add the driver name entris to the file?

Hi Norman,

Seems like u have two windows open with the same query !

add kernel drivers to /stand/system (yes you have to edit the file and put new entries). Once that is complete run mk_kernel then schedule the new kernel to be moved into place with the kmupdate command. Once the system is rebooted OLAR functionality should work.

what h/w are your running on rp8400, sd or n?

type rad -q
and/or rad -n to figure out which slots, and how many are OLARable

you should find load of comprehensive docs on it in and around http://docs.hp.com and http://www.hp.com/go/hpux11
