      <description>Does anyone know how to identify new disks that have been added to a system from LUN info privided on a HPUX 11i superdome?&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>you can run ioscan -fnC disk.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if you not yet run insf -e or reboot the server, you can see a disk without devices. that is your new disk&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If your storage is XP you can download xpinfo to know the device and LUN configuration. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Or you must compare with /etc/lvmtab and output from ioscan.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;thanks&lt;BR /&gt;freddy</description>

      <description>thanks for th ereply,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;what it is, is that I have been given specific luns ie (LUN 59E (device ID 114) LUN 59F ( device ID 115 ), but after analyzing #ioscan -fnC disk I cannot determine which disk the adress is refering to.  Any ideas?</description>

      <description>u can use diskinfo /dev/rdsk/cxtxdx for more detail of disks.....</description>
