Are you using an HP terminal such as the 700/92 or one of the newer C-series of terminals, or are you using a PC for a console? If it is an HP terminal and the menu you are referring to is a set of boxes across the bottom, these are softkeys or function keys. Most likely, someone has been playing with them and taken the terminal offline.

The steps to put the terminal into REMOTE MODE (and out of BLOCK MODE if necessary) or to change the emulation depend on the terminal you are using.

Hi Sripad,

I have experienced the same problem. Look like you have some problems with the terminal settings. Choose the terminal emulation as "HP". If needed, select "7 bit and odd parity" or "8 bit no parity". This depend on your terminal type. You need to play around with that.

HTH,
Shiju

Hi Eran,

Now we r facing a different poblem. We are able to install hpux11.00 os on HPK210 model server. I want to add a disk of 36 GB capacity to the server for additional work load. It's a scsi disk. If I connect it to the scsi port of k210, my k210 server doesn't boot at all. After removing the disk it behaves well. I checked for scsi id conflict but there seems tobe no problem. Have you ever connected an additional scsi disk to k210 server?

pl reply asap.
