added my mail server to the sendmail.cw

localhost
myexchangeserver

and sendmail.cf
#"Smart" relay host
DSmyexchangeserver

still its gives the parse error.

any further clues??? Many thanks in advance.

Shaik,

You have a syntax error in sendmail.cf. Check around the line number reported along with the error message.

in the sendmail.cf i added the myexchangeserver beside DS

# "Smart" relay host (may be null)

Shalom,

Configure the exchange server to allow mail relay from linux box.

By default this is blocked.

If you backed up sendmail.cf before making changes:

# diff sendmail.cf.old sendmail.cf

to view differences between the two files.
