SAM -Display settings

Using hyper terminal to connect HP UNix box.NULL cable is used to connect the machine directly from my laptop.
Now the issue is:
I can launch SAM .But display is very bad. text are over lapping .
Can any tell me how to fix the display of SAM

Hi,
have you set your TERM environment variable?
Also you can set your display id on sam command line.
See "man sam" for options and supported terminal types

'export TERM=vt100' should do the trick (or set it to whatever you've set your terminal emulator to)

Actually issue is related to HYPER terminal.

Please try following port settings on hyper terminal:

Bits per second : 9600
Data bits : 8
parity : none
stop bits : 1
flow control : none

you using emulator ? putty ?
it verifies configuration of emulator .
