    <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;I would read this not as an interactive, but a cron login as tty?? means no terminal attachment.&lt;BR /&gt;Check your cron /cronlog for root.&lt;BR /&gt;Is there something like "su - oracle -c" in any of the called scripts?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please also read:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/helptips.do?#33" target="_blank"&gt;http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/helptips.do?#33&lt;/A&gt; on how to reward any useful answers given to your questions.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;So far you have not awarded any points !</description>

      <description>Hi Guys,&lt;BR /&gt;In syslog, i find "su: + tty?? root-oracle"&lt;BR /&gt;What does it mean. Why the tty is in ??&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Why this question... because this morning, at the time of this command, Oracle database shutdown whit no reason.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks for your help.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This actually means from a terminal session a root user have switched over to as user oracle...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If u want to now what are the commands executed by that user just give history 100 and it will give you the last 100 command sexecuted in your system.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Check the commands executed after doing an su -.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You may find some clue&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks,&lt;BR /&gt;Siva</description>

      <description>Thanks for help.&lt;BR /&gt;With your help, i can be sure thant No cron task has send a shutdown database command. Maybe some scheduler like $Universe or Oracle.&lt;BR /&gt;I 'll investigate.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
