Have an older G50 system with vg00 spanning
over 2 disk drives.

Will the ignite have a problem with restoring
all of vg00 since it is on 2 drives instead of
1 in case of disk failure?

No, it should work fine, providing you actually replace the bad disk.

No problem whatsoever.

The only thing you will have to do, and I don't remember exactly which screen it is on, is to make sure you include both disk drives in vg00. Although, since your system already has vg00 spanning 2 disks, you may not have to do anything. I would doublecheck to make sure though.

No problem whatsoever, just ensure that you redefine vg00 upon reconfiguration as having both drives.

What version of the OS are you running on this G50?.

Hey,

Not a problem. Make sure you use the '-A' option inorder to backup the enitre root volume group (vg00)

Depends on space !
- 2 disks mirrored in vg00, then you are Ok!
- if vg00 lvols spans the 2 disks, 1 disk fails you will run into problems if the remaining disk you are igniting can't host all lvols because of space!
