    <description>check the other partition has this file /sbin/lib/mfsconfig. If yes, then make a recovery tape out of this OS and boot the other partition with this tape. When system is up, then do post modification. Cheers</description>

      <description>Hi all,&lt;BR /&gt;Rp 7420 has 2 partition one partition has got os crash dump and the rebooting the partition gives the error message as fsck cannot run&lt;BR /&gt;/sbin/lib/mfsconfig file missing. the os is not coming up by single user mode or lvm maintenace mode or normal mode. now planned to recover the os i don't have ignite backup i need to recover it by cd any one can help out on giving the steps.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hello jollyjet.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;you can try with an ignite backup from a similar system rp7420. or  an ignite backup from a diferent system.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;or you can try your OS installation cd and run a recovery shell.</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It sound like you will need to recover from the CD. Do ypu have a mirror of the root volume you group. Or an ignite backup tape. if not maybe HP can provide a solution. after all is done I run an ignite tape when you recovery your system.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Good Luck,&lt;BR /&gt;sp,</description>
