    <description>Yaqub, please do the following&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1. Reboot in single user mode&lt;BR /&gt;   Interrrupt the boot process at IPL&lt;BR /&gt;   IPL&amp;gt;hpux -is &lt;BR /&gt;2. From command prompt&lt;BR /&gt;   $:/&amp;gt; mount /usr&lt;BR /&gt;3. Change password as you would do normally&lt;BR /&gt;   $:/&amp;gt;password root&lt;BR /&gt;4.       <description>Hi All,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have forgotten my systems password, my systems info rp7420 and OS HP-UX 11.23 MCOE. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Few days ago I have configure trust systems. That time I have changed my root passwd. Now I can not remember which passwd I have applied that time.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Could you please tell me, which process I can recover my systems password.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards-Yaqub</description>

      <description>Assalam-O-Alaaikum Yaqub,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;For reseting the password, you need to bring system in single user mode,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Stop the boot process when it says "Press any key to stop in 10 seconds". It will be on &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;"Main Menu &amp;gt;" prompt.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Type "bo pri ISL" hit Enter&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt; Interact with IPL ? &amp;gt; YES&lt;BR /&gt;ISL&amp;gt; prompt.&lt;BR /&gt;Type "hpux -is" hit Enter.&lt;BR /&gt;System will be booted in single user mode and it will be logged in as "root".&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Change the Password and reboot the machine.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Asif Sharif</description>
