vPars & different hpux versions

Hi all,

a simple question: is it possible to run different versions of hpux within single vPar environment (e.g. 11.23 and 11.11).

a little background: I have a system that was hosting two vPars, both running 11.11 and I am considering to upgrade one of the partitions to 11.23.

I think that not possible, because it's different version of vpar that can run on 11.11 and 11.23

To run 11.23, you would have to have vPars A.04.xx, while for 11.11 you have to have A.03.xx, so the answer is a resounding no, darn it.

latest news:

with vPars A.05.xx you can run a vPar with 11.31 as first vPar and another vPar(s) with 11.23 - so you can mix.

As mentioned, you can only mix HP-UX 11.23 and 11.31.
