I need to customize a printer interface file and want to change the master file, so that all new printers added for this type have the same changes.

What file is the master "dumb" model printer interface file under HP-UX 11.i?

The standard model files are located in /usr/lib/lp/model. There are also model scripts for Network printers in /opt/hpnpl/sh.
