HP-UX 11.11 vs 11i version 1

Hello everyone.

Does anybody now if the HP-UX 11.11 is the same as HP-UX 11i version 1?.

I need to install my new HP test server rp3440 to see if my ERP runs on it but When I start it, it does not go directly to start from my DVD. If above operating systems are not the same, then I would have to install HP-UX 11i version 1. I have already looked for information on how to install my OS, but It was not clear enough, Does anybody have an understable installation process that can share?

Yes, the 11.11 and 11v1 is the same product.

As long as you are in the PA-RISC family, 11iv1 is 11.11. By default, the box will not boot from the installation media because almost certainly the DVD/CDROM is not the primary boot path.

0) Insert the media into the DVD.

1) Boot the machine and when you see the console prompt (something like press with 10 seconds to interrupt boot), press on the console.

2) SEA
This will search for bootable devices

3) Identify the DVD in the listed devices (e.g. P1)

4) BOOT P1

5) Interact with IPL/ISL? N

You should be on your way.
