Hello Friends,
Our customer received an error when he is trying to mount a drive on unix server. Kindly see the error attachment.

Could i try stopping/starting NFS?

Kindly assist what can be done at thee unix end.

First, do not use a subject like "Help!!"
Use a subject that makes it obvious in what area you are looking for assistance
Second, why not supply more useful information? What version fo HP-UX is this?
Has it worked before?

Third, what client are they trying to mount the drive on?
HP-UX/Windows/Linux?

Have you checked that the file system is exported correctly from the server?
use exportfs and showmount to see what the current state is.
Do you see anything in the syslog.log?

If yiou are trying to mount an NFS share.

Take a look perhaps if you have access at the system log of the server for clues on what is wrong.

And also

- Please provide a simple description or a simple text or picture (jpg,gif,bmp,...) file for attachments, not a proprietary .DOC file.

On the problem it self...

As indicated, check the exports file!
And check whether the Unix folks can make it work Unix-Unix, before adding the complexity of a Windoze NFS client.

DO the other mount points work?

The actuall error message is "Authentication violated or server not found, mounting failed."

May we assume you can at least ping the server?
