Hi,

When i issue the following command
pvcreate /dev/rdsk/c4t11d5

i get the error as
pvcreate /dev/rdsk/c4t11d5
pvcreate: writing LVM record: I/O error

Please let me know how to resolve this issue.

The dd command worked fine...now idea what is the issue.

dd if=/dev/rdsk/c4t11d5 of=/dev/null bs=1024k count=64
64+0 records in
64+0 records out

have you try to force the pvcreate?

pvcreate -f /dev/rdsk/c4t15d5

if still can't work, run cstm and choose the disk device. Eg.

cstm> sel dev 25
cstm>information; wait
cstm>infolog

watch for any hardware errors...
