Patch install.

Hi,

I wants to mirror my root disk, for the same i needs to install the mirrordisk/ux product.
can anyone help me how to install the same by using the command line. i dont want to use the SAM. I have the product in my DVD.
i am using hp-ux 11.23

Hi do you have the codeword for the Mirrordisk UX?

To do installation, mount your dvd, and then run swinstall:
# mount /dev/dsk/cXtYdZ /dvdrom
# swinstall -s /dvdrom

install your codeword first, because MirrorDisk UX won't show up unless you install codeword, except you have an unsecured disk from HP :)

Thank u. i have some doupts.

where i will find the codeword ? it is built in with my DVD or else?( it's a original HP 11.23 Application DVD)

when install the wirrordisk/ux the hp-ux will ask me the code for further movement?

You provide a few numbers from your LTU documentation and your software contract and they give you a codeword.

Hi,

Mirror/UX bundle is depands on OE you are installing, you do not need any license if you have Mission Critical OE and Enteprise OE
