unzip-5.52-src-11.11.tar.gz this file i downloaded from site.after that i removed gz
extension by using gunzip command ok
now i am trying to install unzip-5.52-src-11.11.tar

for that i am trying to
tar -xvf unzip-5.52-src-11.11.tar
then it is extracting ok
i am getting a lot of extracted file
but i don't want to install all theres
i want to install the product unzip-5.52-src-11.11
but i can't

did u try with swinstall utility?

swinstall -s /path/unzip-5.52-src-11.11.tar

where u untar the file is there anything named install/setup/configure file?

once archived the above one i am getting
unzip-5.52 it is directory
how to install this directory then i think
problem will be solve
tar -xvf unzip-5.52-src-11.11.tar
result: unzip-5.52( it is a directory)

'unzip-5.52/HPUX.Install'
assuming that you're on a hp-ux workstation.

so i used /usr/local/unzip-5.52/Makefile
then
what i have to do
install Makefile it will install unzip-5.52
