You get rid if it by using memory for more important things, all automatically.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can of course configure the min/max buffer cache size with kctune(1m)/kmtune(1m):&lt;BR /&gt;dbc_max_pct and dbc_min_pct</description>

      <description>hello,&lt;BR /&gt;attached it the output for memory using glance. the question i have is in ref. to the buf cache, where is that allocated and how do i get that memory back.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks in advance</description>

      <description>I'm not sure there are any problems.  You don't have any Page Outs.  Your buffer cache will shrink if you need the memory for something else.&lt;BR /&gt;If you are using Oracle, you should reduce dbc_max_pct.</description>
