Hi,

You may have already figured this out but you can use "/opt/atdd/bin/atdd_claim" which will go out and claim any tape drives that are turned on to use the atdd driver instead of stape.

I hope this helps

Andrew

Hi

Does the driver works properly with stape driver?

You could remove the stape driver.so that atdd driver will bind with that drives.

In 11iv3, we have a command called "iobind" to bind a driver to a particular device.

Best Regards,
Ramesh

I forgot to mention that os is 11.00
Does the driver works properly with stape driver?
The tapes are working with stape driver. But data compression is not working properly.

You could remove the stape driver.so that atdd driver will bind with that drives.
How do I remove stape driver? You mean disable it from kernel? Do I need to reboot so tape drives start using atdd?

Thanks for your time,
Regards.
Fernando.
