problems installing openssl depot on hpux 11.23

I just downloaded the package from software hp com,
the md5 is correct, but I get errors when I try to install it using swinstall:

now, I have no idea why it won't install those files. All I know, is that the files in depot for this one are scrambled, but md5 of the file matches the one on software.hp.com, so....
I come from linux/freebsd world, so hp ux is still black magic for me.

Dear

u can use swinstall -s then path
suppose if u downloaded the package in
u /usr/local directory after removed extension u will get the file with .depot extension

do swinstall -s /usr/local/fullpath

but in /opt/openssl I won't get all the files, and files that are there are 0 in size.

I thinks some fileset already installed in u system the bundle also contains same file sets, so u have to remove existing one then try to install once again

I think points are to be asigned, when something actually does work. So far no luck.
From the log, I can tell that it has problems with 'remote' filesystem access. But I don't know what that means.
Does it mean, it can't read the source, or write to destination in the error below ??

I have no idea how it should work, but it did create empty file, I can write to that file no probs.

Also, as far as I can tell, .depot files are just tar's. So, I renamed it to .tar, and peeked on some binary files, that suppose to be execs. All I get is some scrambled content, that doesn't make any sens.
md5 is OK, tree information of tar is fine - so there's no problems with the file itself.
Perhaps swinstall, or whatever unpacks that file isn't able to unscramble its content ?

downloaded file from software.hp.com
filename, you have in number of logs above.
Than file was transfered to the serwer, via FTP (funny, you can ftp as root to the system, high security :P ).
md5 checked, matched along the way, and matches the one on HP site.

the rest is history, shown in logs above.

I also tried to get it from sources ,but got numerous errors along the way from both bundled compiler and gcc.

offnote, how long it should take from reboot to ssh to be up on the machine again ? cos it seems to be down for quite few minutes now, after 'reboot' command :/

this is itanium serwer, as far as I know.
I see no option to choose CPU type from the HP site, so I got the one for 11.23, thinking that since it is the only one available - it must be the one.

I don't think it is your problem, I think it is a corrupted depot. You should report it to the HP customer response center. Below file is either missing or corrupted inside the depot.

I am just someone, whos task is to install piece of software that requires openssl on the server.
openssl depot is borked, fine, but I have no idea how should I report it. And also, how long will it take HP to response, after all, it is a hudge corp, and those things move slow.

I tried to compile it with gcc, but I get loads of linking errors, that looks like some sort of FPU math lib linking problems to me (I am software developer, not admin primarily).
