      <description>There are two ways to do this:&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;1. frecover -I - -f /dev/rmt/0m&lt;BR /&gt;which lists the table of contents for the entire tape. This takes just a few seconds.&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;2. frecover -rvmN -f /dev/rmt/0m&lt;BR /&gt;which reads the entire tape and verifies the internal frecover checksums. This requires reading all of the tape and may take hours to complete.</description>

      <description>Shalom,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;reading the fbackup tape creates a file called /var/tmp/index&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Which you can copy off and look at after the read.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <description>frecover -I /tmp/filelist  -f  /dev/rmt/0m&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It will create a  file called filelist in /tmp dir. You can more or grep the file&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;more /tmp/filelist  &lt;BR /&gt;grep syslog /tmp/filelist  &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
