Deamon psmctd consume 1Gbyte of RAM.

Dears,

Can someone help me with this issue.

In our installation we have one, rx6600 with hp-ux v11.23, and there is a deamon psmctd running and consuming 1 GB of RAM, and we need kill this deamon. Now we try to start STM menu but the system send a message with error for login user.

Where we can found a document for stm and if can tell me about more details for deamon psmctd.

It is very likely your diagnostics need the latest patch set. Download the bundle from:

No need to analyze psmctd -- it is not running correctly. Diagnostics are a real pain to troubleshoot so it is easier to update to the latest version or at least try restating them.

Please very your STM version, if it is A.57.00, please instal this patch, it will fix your issue

Shalom,

When this happens to me, I go looking for a patch.

This is is excessive memory use for any daemon save oracle (lil joke there).

Certainly very high use for this daemon, which is not suppose to impact system performance in a major way.
