      <description>The way to change kernel tunables is slightly different between OS versions. Which is your HPUX version? Also, note that you need to reboot the system to effect this change.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>hi again&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;which OS version you are using?&lt;BR /&gt;There is difference for kernel parameter changing.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;in 11iv1 this parameter is static. that means you need reboot.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;in 11iv2 this is dynamic.</description>

      <description>vx_ninode is a static tunable that is initialized when VxFS is loaded, so any changes to vx_ninode cannot take effect until the next system reboot.By default, the initial value of vx_ninode is zero; the file system later computes a value based on the system memory size.
