Hi all,
We have rx660 with hp-ux 11.31 installed,my question is where is the dt command???
in smh it gives that xserver is not running

if any one can help please....

AFAIR the cde environment is not installed per default. Check with swlist. Install from the DVD set if needed.

What are you trying to do from smh?
Executing an X application?

In this case you need to run a Xserver locally (on your PC).

I checked it with swlist and it is there

I want to enable the graphical login,
so I need the dtconfig and dtlogin commands.

in smh (test mode) I tried to see the monitor settings and it gives in the header of the page No X server is running.

Where?
Over the network?
Using what emulation?

Find the files:

# whereis dtlogin

But this is probably not what you (should) looking for.

I want to enable it on both local monitor
and over network

and I already search for dtlogin command and I found nothing...

In a default setup, the local VGA is just dark. The default console is the serial port (over MP/iLO) and you should NOT change this.

To enable the local monitor as a X terminal, try this:

(I did not try this on 11.31, but on 11.23)

Check /etc/dt/config/Xservers.
If last line is commented out as follows:

# * Local local@console /usr/bin/X11/X :0

remove '# ' and restart dtlogin:

# /sbin/init.d/dtlogin.rc stop
# /sbin/init.d/dtlogin.rc start

My problem is all of these files is missing
I did it with ver 11.23 and it works
but in this version I could not..

Is these commands changed ???
