Unknown messages in syslog.log

I have one server that is filling the syslog.log file with the following messages:

Jun 9 08:48:46 newton vmunix: function == 0x93AFE8, arg == 0x426C4C00, ticks == 0xE29744C9, flags == 0x0
Jun 9 08:48:46 newton vmunix: function == 0x93AFE8, arg == 0x426C4C00, ticks == 0xE29744C8, flags == 0x0
Jun 9 08:48:46 newton vmunix: function == 0x93AFE8, arg == 0x426C4C00, ticks == 0xE29744C7, flags == 0x0
Jun 9 08:48:46 newton vmunix: function == 0x93AFE8, arg == 0x426C4C00, ticks == 0xE29744C6, flags == 0x0
Jun 9 08:48:46 newton vmunix: function == 0x93AFE8, arg == 0x426C4C00, ticks == 0xE29744C5, flags == 0x0

Can anyone tell me what this refers to? The syslog filea are getting pretty large :-)

Looks like the same issue as discussed here:

I would expect the fix is the same -- update the SCSI package (http://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=A7173A).

Mike,

That is your MPT driver giving you some issues, you might want to upgrade to this version of the MPT driver to fix the errors: B.11.11.0701

Update the SCSI and MP firmware.

Also, rebooting will make the messages go away for about another year ;)

The other message that Don linked to mentioned long uptimes. It appears this box has been up for almost 560 days. Looks like some updated patches and a reboot are in order.
