Hi All,
I have a 11.00 server which has a patch PHSS_19866 installed on this server.

When I run the command
swlist -l patch -a patch_state -a supeseded_by PHSS_19866

It says it is superseded.
But when I run the command
swlist -l patch -a superseded_by PHSS_19866

It does not show the superseded patches ..
Please suggest how do I find which patches have superseded this patches

Sagar

Go to
http://www12.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/pdbMainPage.do

Type in the patch for which you want to find information. Click the >> icon to start the search.

A window will appear with the patch and any further supercedes.

The patch names are links to more detailed information on each patch.

Click on them to find further information.

On the page that comes up you'll find the following:

- a link called "supercedes" which shows which patches it supercedes.

- a "Patch Family Tree" link which gives further information.

>Rasheed: Are you looking for the ancestor.

Ancestor would typically be useless for core patches. It would typically be the OS version, 11.00, for all patches in the tree.
So unless you had a depot (vs installed system) with multiple OS or products, you would get the same value.
