      <description>Looks like you have now both ignite versions installed, an old and a new.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You should swremove the older version.</description>

      <description>Yes, you have both versions now.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;IMHO best solution is to remove both and install the new version again.</description>

      <description>Sridhar,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Yes, suspect was true...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You have two different versions installed on your server so I would suggest you to remove older version of ignite-ux.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Once you will do it you will be able to run backup successfully!!!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Cheers!!&lt;BR /&gt;Deepak&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Frnds,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Backup seemed to run nicely but for some reasons failed with the below message.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;       * Archiving contents of hrdvault via tar image to local device /dev/rmt/0mn.&lt;BR /&gt;pax: write : I/O error&lt;BR /&gt;pax: A write error has occurred.&lt;BR /&gt;WARNING: The pax command returned a non-zero exit status (exit status 1).&lt;BR /&gt;ERROR:   The find_files command failed (exit status 141).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ERROR:   The make_sys_image command failed. The system recovery archive will&lt;BR /&gt;         not be created.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;=======  07/30/08 18:45:22 IST  make_tape_recovery completed unsuccessfully&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Torsten,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Kindly find the attached output.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If it is a disk error, it shouldn't be able to backup via tar also right.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;But, it succeeds if i try:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;hrdvault$tar cvf /dev/rmt/0mn /home&lt;BR /&gt;hrdvault$mt -f /dev/rmt/0m rew&lt;BR /&gt;hrdvault$tar tvf /dev/rmt/0mn&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;And it shows the content.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;So what might be the issue here...</description>

      <description>Torsten,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks for the inputs!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The part number that i found on the SCSI cable is:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;C2924C REV E&lt;BR /&gt;5183-2673&lt;BR /&gt;TSCH 0551&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This is what i found on the cable.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have connected this to HP Storage Works 1/8 Autoloader and i am using LTO-3 Ultrium R/W Tape.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;There is no hard disk in slot ID 2.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Is these specs not compatible.</description>

      <description>Hi Everybody,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The issue was the absence of terminator for the SCSI Cable.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;We ordered for a terminator and connected to the other SCSI Port.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Now, the Ignite is working without any trouble.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks for all the responses!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Sridhar&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
