I just got this error and in the hs_err_pod18844.log file it says "Please report this error to HP Customer Support". Problem is, I can't find a means of doing so!

I'd also like to know what this error means, as the Java JRE crashed.

My 3rd party software vendor had this to say about the error:
This was a JVM HotSpot compiler crash we have seen a few of these on the HP JVM, we are beginning to wonder if there is an issue that HP needs to be aware of or an issue they are already aware of.

I've attached the error log. I also have a 1gb. core file that was created by the crash but don't want to attach such a large file unless someone tells me it would be a good thing to do.

Thanks!
Brad
>if I don't have a support contract?

If you don't have a HP-UX support contract you are out of luck, unless you want to pay for consulting.
Have you check the java site for the latest versions (it seems you have it):
http://www.hp.com/go/java
