      <title>TMOUT variable</title>

      <description>Some users on the system are telling me that their sessions are timing out on them.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Advised them to do an "unset TMOUT" or "set TMOUT=0" to disable it.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;They're telling me that they get the following:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SPPMDBS1:/home/oracle&amp;gt; unset TMOUT&lt;BR /&gt;sh: TMOUT: This variable is read only.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Never heard of a "read only" variable.   Is there a file on the server that I can go into as admin and disable this?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thank you :)&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
