Hi Andrew,

Just running insf should take care of it. Do you have a listing of what was there before so you can compare results?

Pete

Hi Andrew,

Pls check you have taken any backup of /etc/lvmtab. I think it will help to sort out the problem to some extent...

Regards
Atul

Andrew,

A quick check might be to run "vgdisplay -v" and compare all the physical volumes it shows with the device files you now have. As long as they are the same, you should not have any problems.

Pete

insf -e should work here. Do you have any previous system backup with you.

If yes, then you can restore these two directories from backup taken.

Also, if you have similar box in your setup then you can see that to compare.

hi;
and after insf -e;
don't forget to check /etc/lvmconf and vgdisplay -v for all physical volumes like cxtxdx.

regards,
mustafa
