    <description>wow... thanks Totsten.. That works&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;o There is no /var/tobmstones directory or the   &lt;BR /&gt;   ts99,ts98.... files&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;o There is no crash info in /var/adm/crash&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;o I see the following message in syslogs&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Sep  3 10:39:43 taxware syslog: IRMD[Info]: Adapter 0/6/0/1: Battery is fully ch&lt;BR /&gt;arged.  It is safe to set the cache policy to WRBACK if desired.  In order to do&lt;BR /&gt; that, please run irm.       <description>There is something wrong with your PATH variable or even with your profile.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/sbin/ioscan&lt;BR /&gt;or&lt;BR /&gt;/sbin/vgdisplay should work.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Try&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;echo $PATH&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and inspect your .profile and /etc/profile&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;What shell are you using?</description>

      <description>Well let's start from the beginning here.&lt;BR /&gt;Your prompt does not look right for a root user on Hp-UX.&lt;BR /&gt;It looks more like you are using a csh or ksh.&lt;BR /&gt;Please do:&lt;BR /&gt;env| grep SHELL&lt;BR /&gt;Also, do :&lt;BR /&gt;who am i&lt;BR /&gt;whoami&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if you are logged in as a normal user, did you use su to switch to root user?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>What makes you think it is a CPU problem?  A full / filesystem can easily cause a machine to crash.  Have you been having other problems with this machine?  Did you have something else that indicated a hardware problem?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;John</description>

      <description>I do not like csh for root!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Should be always /sbin/sh - please check &lt;BR /&gt;/etc/passwd&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;for this.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also check if csh is started in your profile.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The csh "profile" is different and doesn't include /usr/sbin - that's why you cannot "find" the commands.</description>
