Ignite Software installation procedure

Hi,

I want to install Ignite software in my hpux server (11.11) from a depot.

#swinstall -s /tmp/Ignite-UX-11-11_C.7.7.98_HP-UX_B.11.00_32_64.depot Ignite-UX

can anyone tell me that it will ask to restart the server or not and above mentioned command is OK.

You can use autoreboot=false

swinstall -x autoreboot=false -s /tmp/Ignite-UX-11-11_C.7.7.98_HP-UX_B.11.00_32_64.depot Ignite-UX

Hi Farhan,

The installation of Ignite-UX on HP-UX 11.23 does not require rebooting. I think same situation on 11.11

"swinstall -s /tmp/Ignite-UX-11-11_C.7.7.98_HP-UX_B.11.00_32_64.depot" must work properly.

Thsnks.......but can u tell me that , it will ask to restatrt the server or not. because server is in production.

If i'll go with
swinstall -x autoreboot=false -s /tmp/Ignite-UX-11-11_C.7.7.98_HP-UX_B.11.00_32_64.depot Ignite-UX
this command. it won't boot the server, but ignite will work properly.

NO, no need to restart when ignite UX installation. just do swinstall -s /ignite_ux_source \*
