HELP PLEASE! Error Shell32.dll on startup

I cannot startup my HP! After it boots I get as far as the user prompt to enter a password then I get an error saying "explorer has caused an error with shell32.dll. explorer will now close" ... I have no clue on what to do someone PLEASE HELP ME. PLEASE.
