When I did the original install off of the ignite server, it defaulted to:

diskinfo -b /dev/rdisk/disk10_p1
102368

Which is a 100 MB EFI partition..Not sure how it is supposed to go to a larger size when the default installation makes it 100 MB.

Sorry, I used the wrong device. disk10 is the drive I want to mirror to disk6. I did a diskinfo -b on it, and you are correct it is a 500 MB EFI partition.

I will redo the partition. Didn't know we needed 3 partitions.

3
EFI 500MB
HPUX 100%
HPSP 400MB

What is the HPSP partition for?

Sorry, one more question. I have tried to re-create the partitions using the format you have suggested. I am now getting:

idisk -wf /tmp/x /dev/rdisk/disk10
idisk version: 1.44
********************** WARNING ***********************
If you continue you may destroy all data on this disk.
Do you wish to continue(yes/no)? yes
idisk: Partition table entry 1 does not appear valid
Entry was: "

I tried an idisk -R, and still cant seem to clean it up. Any suggestions?
Torsten was correct. I recreated my EFI partition definition file and idisk took it happily. Now that I'm using the 500MB EFI partition, my pvcreate doesn't complain anymore about a LVMREC error.

All is good.

Thank you Torsten. If youre ever in town, I'll buy you a good old Canadian beer ;')
