      <description>Hi&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;    I want to know how to set the .profile(POSIX SHELL) file for root user in hp-ux(11i).In other users i am able see in their home directories.so i want to know in hp-ux how to set or modify the root user profiles.for example i want to set permanent aliases for some frequently used commads.If anybody know ,Pls help me.</description>

      <description>Hello periyasamy,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you are saying the "root" -- superuser account, the default home direcotry is '/' --  the root directory of whole filesystem.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;So put your customized configuration in the&lt;BR /&gt;'/.profile' and re-login to activate it.
