    <description>&amp;gt; tried to install another software from a remote server and it succeeded. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;When I swcopied the same software to local machine and tried installing it on inactive image it failed with same error. This means that there is no problem with s/w being installed.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;can anybody post the arguments to swacl to give every user all the rights to install a software kept in /tmp.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I tried this without success. :-(&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;bash-3.2# swacl -l product -M any_other:any_other@habhpth9:crwit \* @/tmp                    &lt;BR /&gt;ERROR:   There is no&lt;BR /&gt;         "VRTSsfmh,r=2.0.40.0,a=HP-UX_B.11.23_IA/PA,v=Symantec" ACL at&lt;BR /&gt;         "habhpth9:/tmp".  The object is, or is part of, a read-only&lt;BR /&gt;         depot.&lt;BR /&gt;bash-3.2# &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I suggest to try to restart swagentd (/sbin/init.d/swagentd restart).&lt;BR /&gt;This works for me in some situations! Just try it!</description>

Actually in case of DRD installs a different(new) swagentd is started&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;What software is it and what is your command line?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;drd runcmd swinstall -s /tmp VRTSsfmh. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Is the /tmp directory really a registered depot or do you have another depot file?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Did you try to just list the contents?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;swlist -s /tmp</description>

      <description>Yes, /tmp has the software and swlist @/tmp shows that the package is actually there.</description>
