Upgrading Online Diag in hpux 11.23

Hi,

I am planning to upgrade the Online diag in my hpux 11.23 box,

I have the depot with me just wanted to confirm before upgrading what services needs to be stopped.

Bonjour,

As far as I know, no service needs to be stopped.

Just "swinstall -p -s \*", check "/var/adm/sw/swagent.log", then "swinstall -s \*" Normally, there is no reboot when upgrading OnlineDiag.

Hi:

There is nothing to stop and no reboot is required for installation. Simply do:

# swinstall -s /tmp/OnlineDiag_B.11.23.11.05_HP-UX_B.11.23_IA_PA.depot

Which version are you planning to upgrade to ?

For example, as for OnlineDiag December 2008, the following release
notes mentions cimserver:

Anyway, you should confirm the appropriate release notes for the
EMS/STM version you upgrade to.
